About the Role

The person who takes on this role will join some of the best underwriters in the nation and step immediately into an established book of business.

That's exciting enough that it's worth repeating - there is an established book of business you will immediately step into.

The key to this role is understanding what goes into being a competitive underwriter – writing the best of the best and knowing how efficiency can place you in a better position. Working with the top-dog retail contacts (again, this is a retail-facing role), managing multiple accounts at once, and understanding policy language, coverage forms, and insurance state requirements/regulations are all essential. 

You will be supported at every step of the way, including by a team to assist you – allowing you to grow a book of business that is strong and financially rewarding. 

About You

• We are seeking someone with 3+ years of retail-facing casualty underwriting experience, but are open to alternative backgrounds if the fit is right.

• The ideal candidate will be located and working in the California/Arizona market.

• Since you will interface and work with some of the best brokerages, we're hoping you already have established relationships with key retail partners.

• The compensation package target has a Competitive Base ($110k -$125k base target) + 40% Target Bonus + Potential Sign-on Bonus.

• There will be some travel involved (3 +/- days a month, depending on where you are located).
